I was wondering if their where other standaards not publiched by the iso / iec or BS. So i can make a comparision. (for study purposes).

I don't know any unpublished standards. If you want to compare 7799 with other standards of ISO/IEC, maybe you can select 13335 or 15443 or 15408.

There's a standard of sorts called COBIT, not that I know anything about it.

COBIT is a set of many standards. But it's main task is to make an IT audit, I think.
