Does anyone have any insight of how BS7799 certification will be converted to ISO 27001 when it is eventually published?

I'm told that there will be some form of fast track process for renewal under the new banner, but that is all I can gather.

Any clues would help forward planning. Thanks.

Hi

For upgradation, it will require a 1 manday extra assessment combined with the next continual assessment visit, whenever it is planned.

All i can say is that no-one can be a complete security expert.
New security issues will be found and new exams will arise.
ISO 27001...2700++

On the other hand that's where we get our jobs from and security experts are needed so ....no complains Surprised)

Just trying to make a point that we all know here !!!
